CAMEROON Promoting growth, stability, and peace
Democratic nation is an ideal location for U.S. firms expanding into Africa
President José Eduardo dos Santos
Known for its diversity and cultural riches, Cameroon is home to over 250 tribes

ameroon is Africa in miniature, bursting with the variety of the whole continent. It has humid forest, arid desert, mountains, savannah, and sea. Home to more than 250 tribes, it is one of the African states that offers durable political and social stability.

Cameroon’s geographic position and ease of liaison with other capitals in the region stimulates community exchanges, and it has become a center of growth, stability, and peace in the region.

With a democratic free market and vast mineral and agricultural resources, the country represents half the wealth and market of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC). It also hosts more than 60% of the region’s business activity. These assets combine to make it an ideal location for U.S. firms planning on expanding into the continent.

Foreign investors find an attractive investment code that offers incentives, particularly fiscal benefits, to companies that create permanent jobs and use the country’s natural resources. Successful investments from recent years include projects in oil production, pipeline building, and fresh fruit.
